New Timeslot

Justice League Action Changes Timeslot:

Will it make even more fans upset?

For the months that Justice League Action has aired, one recurring criticism for the show was not for the actual production but for the network airing it, Cartoon Network. Many people are upset that the show only airs one, 15 minute episode at 7:30 am. While there is an argument to be made that it's like  watching an old Saturday Morning Cartoon, this is also the only time that the show airs. However, thanks to Twitter user @AVENGEDOG we can see there is no Justice League Action episode scheduled for next week. Instead, the website Zap2It revealed in the schedule listings that the Saturday after (8/12/17) will air the new episode "Booster's Gold" at 7:00 am. This means the episode will air from 7:00-7:15 am opposed to 7:30-7:45 am. Schedules for weeks past aren't included so it can't be confirmed that this is definitely the new timeslot, however I will stay up to date with the story and confirm the schedule change once more listings are posted. Are you a fan of the new timeslot? Do you wish it was still 7:30? Or would you prefer a completely new time? Be sure to let me know on here or on Twitter!

Action Figure Lines

With an epic show covering many heroes and villains,

It was a given that we'd be given an equally epic toy line to represent them all. However, instead of getting one line we're getting three, all in different sizes. Here I will break down the different lines and who's available in each. Enjoy!

Line One: Mighty Mini's

The first line consists of tiny figures, with swappable parts to them. There are multiple ways to collect the mighty mini's, including two series of blind bag figures, 4 three-packs each coming with a build-a-figure part to build a Darkseid, and with other action figure sets such as the Batcycle.

The characters available in this form include:
Superman
Batman
Wonder Woman
Flash
Blue Beetle
Firestorm
Green Arrow
Atom
Hawkman
Robin
Lex Luthor
The Joker
Mr. Freeze
Mongul
Harley Quinn
Lobo
Darkseid

These contain four points of articulation and price varies on the medium the item is sold in.

Line Two: Power Connects

These 4.5 inch figures are closer to your standard action figures that you are used to. They have roughly ten points of articulation and are sold individually. Twitter user Soundout12 they are sold for $7.99 each (Albuquerque, New Mexico). If you are looking for a good toy for your kids (or yourself), these are good for their playa
bility. Each figure comes with a unique accessory to the hero.

Available figures in this line include:
Superman
Batman
Wonder Woman
Green Arrow
Blue Beetle
The Flash
The Joker
Blue Beetle
Firestorm
Lex Luthor

Line Three: Twelve Inch

These figures are also highly pose able and are also sold individually. They reportedly contain 11 points of articulation. They are sold for between $9.99 and $12.99

Figures available in this line include:
Batman
Wonder Woman
Superman
The Flash
The Joker
Green Lantern
Blue Beetle
Green Arrow

The show is still relatively new,

So that means many of these lines are just beginning. It is unknown which ones of these will stick, but we can all look forward to more to come in the future. Many of these are still currently not available yet, or just appearing, so information on these could always change so I'll make sure to keep this article updated. Let me know which line is your favorite of the three (mine personally is the 4.5 figures)!

Strange Scheduling

Confused as to why there's no new Justice League Action?

Don't worry, you're not the only one! I tried explaining this on Twitter but 140 characters makes it hard to make sense. Here I will try to explain it a little better:

Regularly, JLA features self contained stories so that more characters can be seen. The first four episodes, however, contain an overarching story with the brothers Djinn, Black Adam, and the wizard Shazam. Because of this, Cartoon Network aired all four episodes together as an hour long premiere special on Friday, 12/16/16. Since then, the show has moved to Saturday mornings (fitting since it reminds many older fans of the Super Friends cartoon) beginning on 12/24/16. Rather than airing episode five, they aired episode one again however they aired it alone. This past Saturday (12/31/16) they aired episode two but once again, separately.

Thus, it can be assumed that CN will remain airing each episode of the premiere separately until we get to episode five. It is currently unknown whether or not two new episodes will be shown or one new and on repeat, but we will find out on 1/21/17 when "Follow That Space Cab" premieres.

I hope that helped to answer any questions you had about the scheduling, but if not let me know! If you have any other questions I can try to answer, let me know here or on Twitter. BTW, Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all have a prosperous year :)

First Wave of Figures

The first wave of figures has been revealed,

and they certainly pose an interesting idea. The new action figures (brought to us by Mattel, the same creators of the successful JL/JLU toy lines) will be 2-inches and have interchangeable parts. This means that you can mix and match your favorite heroes and villains from onscreen to make your own characters!

Being released in waves, the first assortment will include main characters Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, as well as other featured characters such as, Blue Beetle, Firestorm, a Batman variant, The Flash, Green Arrow, Lex Luthor, and The Joker. The line also contains 3 packs with build-a-figure pieces which will make a Darkseid figure. The 3 packs include:

Lobo----> Hawkman----> Superman
Firestorm----> Mr. Freeze----> Batman
Mongul----> Wonder Woman----> The Flash

The fact that these figures are going to be interchangeable is actually extremely exciting. Justice League Action boasts the fact that HUNDREDS of DC characters will be appearing. This line gives us the opportunity to get obscure characters and create your own. Their smaller size will also make collecting and storing the figures much easier. With the huge roster of characters, this type of toy line seems to fit the series perfectly. Make sure you support this line as we know the longevity of these shows can depend on their success with toys (*cough* Young Justice *cough*) Head over to http://comicbook.com/2016/12/22/first-justice-league-action-toys-revealed/ for a lot more information about this upcoming toy line, set to hit stores around Jan. 2017

Introduction

Hello There!

If you're on this blog, I'm guessing you're a fan of Cartoon Network's newest show, Justice League Action. On here, I will try and keep you up to date with everything JLA, from toy news to broadcasting times, appearance guides and more! If you are more of a Twitter person, you can find me there as well @JLANews where I can more easily attempt to answer your questions, but I can talk to you guys here too! My main hope with this new blog is to spread the word about this new show heading into the new year. The more we share news about JLA, the more people we can get watching it. Which leads me to:

Most importantly, make sure you SPREAD THE WORD! The show is brand new but we don't want it going anywhere for a LONG time. There is so much that it offers, humor for younger and older children, easter eggs for older fans, and epic action for everybody! Be prepared because this show is going to be a wild ride!!!
