Strange Scheduling

Confused as to why there's no new Justice League Action?

Don't worry, you're not the only one! I tried explaining this on Twitter but 140 characters makes it hard to make sense. Here I will try to explain it a little better:

Regularly, JLA features self contained stories so that more characters can be seen. The first four episodes, however, contain an overarching story with the brothers Djinn, Black Adam, and the wizard Shazam. Because of this, Cartoon Network aired all four episodes together as an hour long premiere special on Friday, 12/16/16. Since then, the show has moved to Saturday mornings (fitting since it reminds many older fans of the Super Friends cartoon) beginning on 12/24/16. Rather than airing episode five, they aired episode one again however they aired it alone. This past Saturday (12/31/16) they aired episode two but once again, separately.

Thus, it can be assumed that CN will remain airing each episode of the premiere separately until we get to episode five. It is currently unknown whether or not two new episodes will be shown or one new and on repeat, but we will find out on 1/21/17 when "Follow That Space Cab" premieres.

I hope that helped to answer any questions you had about the scheduling, but if not let me know! If you have any other questions I can try to answer, let me know here or on Twitter. BTW, Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all have a prosperous year :)

First Wave of Figures

The first wave of figures has been revealed,

and they certainly pose an interesting idea. The new action figures (brought to us by Mattel, the same creators of the successful JL/JLU toy lines) will be 2-inches and have interchangeable parts. This means that you can mix and match your favorite heroes and villains from onscreen to make your own characters!

Being released in waves, the first assortment will include main characters Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, as well as other featured characters such as, Blue Beetle, Firestorm, a Batman variant, The Flash, Green Arrow, Lex Luthor, and The Joker. The line also contains 3 packs with build-a-figure pieces which will make a Darkseid figure. The 3 packs include:

Lobo----> Hawkman----> Superman
Firestorm----> Mr. Freeze----> Batman
Mongul----> Wonder Woman----> The Flash

The fact that these figures are going to be interchangeable is actually extremely exciting. Justice League Action boasts the fact that HUNDREDS of DC characters will be appearing. This line gives us the opportunity to get obscure characters and create your own. Their smaller size will also make collecting and storing the figures much easier. With the huge roster of characters, this type of toy line seems to fit the series perfectly. Make sure you support this line as we know the longevity of these shows can depend on their success with toys (*cough* Young Justice *cough*) Head over to http://comicbook.com/2016/12/22/first-justice-league-action-toys-revealed/ for a lot more information about this upcoming toy line, set to hit stores around Jan. 2017
